FRONTICS CO., LTD. is a company with its specialty in ‘instrumented indentation testing equipment and technological services,’ established in the year 2000 in the Micro Reliability Lab of Seoul National University.We developed the Advanced Indentation System (AIS) based on ‘Instrumented Indentation Testing (IIT)’ to secure product reliability and to conduct safety evaluations encompassing materials, components, systems, and industrial structures.FRONTICS CO., LTD. developed the indentation tester that can be used in laboratories, factories, and work sites. Also, we have successfully commercialized and popularized AIS2100 and AIS3000 which can be operated in the macro domain, and the Hybrid Micro-AIS(F), Micro-AIS, and Nano-AIS, which can be applied in the micro- or nano-domain. Furthermore, we are expanding the range where the instrumented indentation tester can be used by releasing the AIS3000Compact and AIS3000HD that are suitable for use inspecial environments such as where space is limited, and where there is radiation or vibration.Also, related with this technology we have set the Korean Industrial Standard (KSB0950:2002, KSB0951:2005) and the Korea Power Industry Technological Standard (KEPIC MDF A370), and we are constantly investing our best efforts to establish the world standard such as the ISO/TR29381, ASME Code case 2703, and Code case N-881.
